The harm and control methods of oyster mushroom viral disease are introduced in detail below (for your reference).

Harm of oyster mushroom viral disease:
Oyster mushroom viral disease is a disease caused by a virus, and its pathogen is spherical virus particles.
After oyster mushroom mycelium is infected with the virus, there are no obvious symptoms. Because the virus parasitizes inside the cells, only the mycelial growth rate slows somewhat, and the colony edge is often irregular; by the fruiting stage, after infection with the virus, some fruiting bodies have swollen stipes that are nearly spherical or flask-shaped, do not form a cap or form only a very small cap, or retain only traces of the cap on the top surface of the nearly spherical fruiting body, and later cracks appear, exposing white flesh; some stipes become flattened or curved, with an uneven surface or nodular protrusions, and the caps become smaller and deformed, with deep notches and a wavy shape; some caps and stipes show obvious water-soaked streaks or patches.

Severely affected fruiting bodies cannot form basidiospores. Some are stunted in development, with shortened mushroom shape, thick caps, short stipes, or small caps.

Control methods for oyster mushroom viral disease:

        1. Select and breed disease-resistant and disease-tolerant strains, and select virus-free spawn.

        2. Strictly control the mother spawn stage. Any mother spawn with abnormal growth, especially irregular mycelium, must be removed; during the culture stage, stock spawn and growing spawn must be inspected frequently, and any with notched or mottled mycelium must be resolutely eliminated.

       3. Mushroom sheds, culture rooms, and inoculation tools should be strictly disinfected with chemicals such as "Junshi Xiaodu Wang" and "Jinxing Disinfectant."

       4. Oyster mushroom bags found to be infected with viral disease during fruiting should be picked out, isolated, and burned. After production ends, the affected mushroom rooms should be strictly disinfected, and the mushroom bed racks should be dismantled and cleaned to prevent spores and mycelium carrying virus particles from lurking in the gaps of the racks.

       5. When viral disease symptoms appear on bags or fruiting bodies, spray with a 600-fold dilution of "Qiangli Bingdu Qing," once every about 4 days, with a cure rate of 94%.

       6. After cultivation ends, bed racks and mushroom rooms with severe viral disease should be strictly fumigated and disinfected with "Junshi Xiaodu Wang" to prevent diseased spores and mycelium from lurking for a long time.
