How to grow phoenix mushroom well? I hope someone can introduce the method to me

The phoenix mushroom has a short production cycle (50-60 days), a wide range of substrate sources, simple production equipment, and low investment. Empty rooms, warehouses, greenhouses, vegetable cellars, etc. can all be used as sites for shelf-bed mushroom sowing, so the phoenix mushroom is quite easy to grow. For the detailed cultivation method, refer to the following list.

         I. Preparation before sowing phoenix mushroom

        (1) Preparation of the cultivation bed:
Phoenix mushroom can be cultivated in beds or boxes.

        (2) Preparation of the substrate:Rice straw, bean stalks, corn cobs, and cottonseed hulls can all be used as substrate. Rice straw should be cut into small pieces of about 2 cm. No matter which substrate is used, the moisture content after treatment should reach 65-70%. And keep   clean and non-toxic.

        (3) Equipment disinfection:The film, iron shovel, baskets, buckets, metal utensils, glassware, inoculation tools, etc. used for holding the substrate must be disinfected before use. Generally, soak them in a 0.1%-0.2% potassium permanganate solution or a 2-5% bleaching powder solution for more than 30 minutes. The incubator and mushroom racks can be washed and brushed with the above medicinal solutions. Or spray with a copper sulfate solution greater than 2% to eliminate contaminating bacteria.

       (4) Prepare the spawn.

II. Sowing method for phoenix mushroom
First spread white plastic film on the bed or in the box, spread the prepared substrate on the plastic film, sprinkle a layer of spawn about every 6 cm thick, spread three layers of substrate and sprinkle three layers of spawn in succession, then press firmly so that the spawn and substrate are fully in contact. Finally, use the plastic film previously spread on the bed to wrap the sown substrate block well, so as to keep warm and moist and promote mycelial growth.

III. Daily management methods for phoenix mushroom

Within 15 days after sowing, it is the period when the mycelium grows inside the plastic wrap. The mushroom house temperature is best kept at 25-27°C. Too high or too low will cause poor mycelial growth. If green, withered yellow, or other contaminating bacteria appear on the bed surface, they should be removed and buried as early as possible.

With suitable temperature, half a month after sowing, the white mycelium   will cover the bed surface. At this time, cooling measures should be taken, such as opening windows or sprinkling water, to lower the temperature to 15-20°C, providing conditions for the mycelium to differentiate and produce mushroom primordia. When individual fruiting bodies push out small caps, the plastic film should be uncovered in time, ventilation should be strengthened, and a certain amount of scattered light is needed.
During the fruiting period, management must resolve the contradiction between ventilation and moisture retention. It is necessary both to ventilate and exchange air and to keep the mushroom bed surface moist, with the relative air humidity kept at 80%-90%. When ventilating the mushroom house, frequently spray water on the ground and the four walls. If the substrate surface becomes dry, use the misting method to replenish water, to prevent direct spraying from causing excessive water and rotting the bed.

IV. Harvesting method for phoenix mushroom
When the cap of the phoenix mushroom is fully   opened and the edge curls upward, it should be harvested in time. For those growing in clusters, harvest them   together. After harvesting, spraying water should be stopped immediately, and the plastic film should be covered again to keep warm and moist and promote mycelial recovery. After 3-4 days, uncover the plastic film and move on to the normal management of the next flush of mushrooms.
