Where are the producing areas of white fungus? What are the requirements for cultivating white fungus? Please give an introduction. The main producing areas of white fungus are divided into:
Artificial cultivation -- Gutian County, Fujian Province, where Gutian County's output accounts for 95% of the national total, and also Tongjiang in Sichuan.
Wild white fungus producing areas include -- the mountainous areas of Guizhou, Sichuan, Fujian, Hubei, Shaanxi, Anhui, Zhejiang and other provinces.
In the past, the production of white fungus was mostly in a primitive, semi-wild state, relying on natural spore inoculation, and the yield was not high. With the isolation of pure white fungus strains and the success of artificial inoculation, the white fungus cultivation industry developed rapidly, and the cultivation techniques were constantly innovated. Especially after the widespread promotion of bottle cultivation and plastic bag cultivation methods, the cultivation range continued to expand and the yield increased substantially. At present, artificially cultivated white fungus has spread throughout the country.
Cultivating white fungus does not have high environmental requirements; it mainly has certain requirements for temperature, humidity, air, light and PH value. The following is a detailed introduction for reference:
Humidity requirements for white fungus:
Water is the primary condition for the life activities of white fungus. The water requirements of white fungus are two "suitable" and one "more". That is, spores germinate into hyphae under suitable humidity conditions (relative humidity 70%-80%), and the hyphae also colonize and spread under suitable humidity conditions. And at a certain developmental stage, they differentiate and produce fruiting body primordia.
The fruiting body develops rapidly in a humid environment (relative humidity 80%-90%), unfolding plump, tender, jade-like fruiting bodies. Under overly humid conditions, it is not easy to germinate into hyphae, but instead appears in the form of budding.
Only under suitable humidity conditions can the hyphae colonize and grow vigorously. The hyphae are thick and short, forming bundles, and the fruiting body differentiates normally. In an overly humid environment, the hyphae grow weak, thin and sparse, and the fruiting body differentiates poorly or gelatinizes into a mass. Therefore, according to the different humidity requirements of white fungus at each growth stage, appropriate moisture should be provided.
Temperature requirements for white fungus:
Temperature is an important factor in the intensity of life activities and the speed of growth and development of white fungus. White fungus is a mesophilic fungus. The hyphae (including white fungus budding spores and Hypoxylon hyphae) can grow within 16℃-30℃, among which 20℃-28℃ is normal growth, 23℃-25℃ is the best growth, and below 20℃ or above 28℃ the hyphae are weak. The temperature for fruiting body differentiation is between 16℃-28℃; below 16℃ growth is slow, and above 28℃ differentiation is poor. The ideal temperature should be 22℃-25℃. White fungus has strong cold resistance; spores at 0℃ for 2 hours will not lose their germination ability.
Air (oxygen) requirements for white fungus:
White fungus is an aerobic fungus. The oxygen demand for hyphal germination increases with the increase in hyphal mass. The oxygen demand for fruiting body differentiation should also be controlled: large fruiting bodies need more oxygen, small fruiting bodies need less. In an environment with suitable temperature and high humidity and sufficient oxygen, fruiting body differentiation is rapid; under oxygen-deficient conditions, hyphae grow slowly and fruiting body differentiation is delayed. Therefore, during cultivation, proper ventilation and air exchange are necessary.
Light requirements for white fungus:
Strong direct light is unfavorable for white fungus hyphal germination and fruiting body differentiation. Scattered light can promote spore germination and fruiting body differentiation. Different light conditions have a clear relationship with the color of white fungus fruiting bodies: under dim light the fruiting bodies are yellow and differentiation is delayed; with proper scattered light, the fruiting bodies are white and of high quality.
PH (acidity and alkalinity) requirements for white fungus:
White fungus is a weakly acidophilic fungus, and the PH value should be between 5.2-5.8. Too acidic or too alkaline has a certain effect on white fungus. The above factors do not exist in isolation, and management must be strengthened. Try every means to meet the growth requirements of white fungus, so as to achieve high yield and high quality.
