As autumn and winter arrive, Zhongdi Network has compiled the key management points for shiitake mushrooms in autumn and winter, listed below for netizens' reference.

Point one, increase the day-night temperature difference:
In late autumn and early winter, daytime temperatures are high and nighttime temperatures are low. During the day, cover with a layer of film so that the temperature inside the mushroom bed is 2°C-3°C higher than outside the film; after 10 p.m., open the film so the temperature drops rapidly. After several consecutive days, a large number of primordia will emerge on the surface of the mushroom logs and develop into mushroom buds.

Point two, manage the humidity of the mushroom shed well:
After the shiitake mushrooms change color, maintain the relative temperature of the mushroom bed at around 85% in the early stage; as large numbers of mushroom buds differentiate into caps and stems, lower the relative air humidity to around 80%.

Point three, master a suitable dry-wet difference for the mushroom bags:
In the early stage of autumn mushrooms, the internal water content of the mushroom logs is relatively sufficient and can fully meet the needs of first-flush fruiting body production, so there is no need to soak them to force mushrooms. After the first flush is harvested, stop spraying water, remove the film and ventilate, and let the surface of the mushroom logs dry for 1-3 days, then cover with film again to raise the bed temperature and promote mycelial growth. After 2-3 days, the mushroom holes left after harvesting will turn white and grow mycelium. At this point, spray water again to increase humidity, remove the film and ventilate, and raise the temperature to promote the growth of the next flush.

Point four, carry out comprehensive ventilation of the mushroom shed:
When the temperature is above 23°C, ventilate once each in the morning, noon and evening every day. When the temperature is below 17°C, ventilating once a day is sufficient. Ensure there is enough moisture and fresh air during fruiting body growth.

Point five, master a suitable light intensity:
During production, shiitake mushroom fruiting bodies must have a certain amount of indirect sunlight, and generally a light intensity that allows you to smoothly read the small characters of a newspaper inside the mushroom shed is sufficient.

Point six, prevent contamination by foreign bacteria:
You can spray the walls, shelves and floor of the mushroom shed with a 500-fold dilution of 50% carbendazim wettable powder or a 0.1% Lysol aqueous solution to prevent infection by foreign bacteria.
