Enoki mushroom is both a delicious food and a fairly good health food, and the domestic and international markets for enoki mushroom are increasingly broad. The artificial cultivation technique of enoki mushroom is not complicated; as long as the environmental conditions can be well controlled, it is easy to obtain stable and reliable yields. Zhongdiwang has compiled several techniques that can increase the yield during the enoki mushroom cultivation process, listed in detail below for netizens' reference.

Method 1: Change wide-bag cultivation to narrow-bag cultivation:
Many people believe that using 25 cm x 50 cm plastic bag tubes for enoki mushroom cultivation is better, but wide bags are prone to contamination by miscellaneous bacteria, and when there are few mushroom buds, the fruiting bodies tend to bend, affecting quality and failing to meet the high-quality requirements of small caps, long stipes, light color, and tender plumpness. Therefore, it is better to use 17 cm x 33 cm plastic bag tubes for cultivation.

  Method 2: Change high-pressure sterilization to extended-time normal-pressure sterilization:
Because enoki mushroom grows rapidly on culture material rich in vitamin B1 and B2, and the number of arthrospores is relatively small. However, vitamin B1 is not heat-resistant and decomposes rapidly above 120 degrees Celsius, so the culture material is better sterilized at normal pressure. But to ensure the pure culture rate, the sterilization time can be extended from 10-12 hours to 13-18 hours.

Method 3: Change the traditional vertical fruiting of enoki mushroom to horizontal fruiting from both ends:
When filling the material, inoculate both ends and leave about 15 cm of tube film at each end, fill lightly and evenly press, and tie the bag opening tightly. Place horizontally in about four layers for mycelial growth. This method can both ensure fruiting quality and save mushroom house space, and can increase the mushroom house yield per square meter by more than 30%.

Method 4: Change one-time bag opening of enoki mushroom to controlled bag opening:
With both ends tied closed for sealed mycelial culture, due to the low oxygen concentration in the bag, if the bag is opened only when the mycelium has grown and exuded yellow droplets according to conventional methods, growth will inevitably be affected.
Therefore, once slow mycelial growth is found in the bag, the bag should be opened promptly. But at this time do not fully prop it open; wait until the mushroom stipe has grown to about 8 cm, then straighten the tube bag all at once, to ensure suitable temperature, humidity, and carbon dioxide concentration during the fruiting process. During this process, the mushroom bodies should be prevented from being forced to grow curved.

Method 5: Change letting enoki mushroom stipes grow freely to red light induction:
Because enoki mushroom bodies have strong phototaxis, after the mycelium has grown well and been placed on shelves, a 15-watt red light bulb can be hung above the center of every two rows of walls at intervals of about 4 m to produce vertical light, which can induce them to grow horizontally in bundles toward the light source and promote extension of the mushroom bodies. However, doors and windows should be shaded to prevent the mushroom bodies from growing disorderly, lodging, and bending.
