In flower production, using biological pesticides to control pests and diseases is both safe and environmentally friendly, and is very popular among flower growers in the market. Below are several commonly used insecticides and fungicides.
For nicotine, the commonly used form is 10% nicotine emulsifiable concentrate, widely used to control pests such as scale insects, red spiders, aphids, and whiteflies on many flower and tree plants, with good insecticidal effect. The nicotine emulsifiable concentrate on the market is formulated with saponin, and the application forms include soluble powder and aqueous solution. The general usage rate per mu of seedling land is 50 to 75 ml, diluted with 50 to 75 kg of water for spraying.
Yanbaisu is a plant-derived broad-spectrum insecticide made from nicotine, stemonine, and toosendanin. It resists rain washing and is especially suitable for controlling various pests of the orders Lepidoptera, Diptera, and Homoptera on flowers and seedlings, such as aphids, scale insects, red spiders, cotton leaf worms, and inchworms.
Kujianjian is widely used to control leaf roller moths, leaf miners, camphor leaf borers, gypsy moths, leafhoppers, and whiteflies, and at the same time has a good regulating effect on plant growth. The 0.36% kujianjian is generally used at a concentration of 800 to 1000 times dilution for spraying.
Beauveria bassiana powder is a fungal insecticide made by fermenting and processing the entomopathogenic fungi Beauveria bassiana or Beauveria brongniartii. It is now widely used to control pine caterpillars and gypsy moths.
95% pine oil essential oil agent. Pine oil essence is an essential oil obtained by extraction and fractionation from the stems, branches, and leaves of pine trees, and its main components are mixtures of terpene alcohols, terpene hydrocarbons, ethers, ketones, phenols, etc. Its main effects on pests are fumigation, killing eggs, and inhibiting growth and development, and it is mainly used for boring pests, such as the control of spruce bark beetles.
Yizhiling is a low-toxicity biological fungicide with a broad fungicidal spectrum, resistance to rain washing, and anti-corrosion and freshness-preserving effects. The formulation of this agent is a 4% aqueous solution.
It can control flower powdery mildew, black spot, anthracnose, ring rot, leaf spot and leaf fall, root rot, etc. For control, the spraying method is used. All are used at 1200 to 1500 times dilution, sprayed once every 7 to 10 days, for 2 to 3 consecutive sprays; if the seed soaking or root drenching method is used, use a 600 times dilution.
Telike, with the trade name Miejunling, is a low-toxicity fungicide, a yellow-brown powder, and a pure living biological preparation. It has fungicidal action, hyperparasitism, bacteriolytic action, toxic proteins, and competitive action. Because of its complex fungicidal mechanism, harmful pathogens find it difficult to develop resistance. This agent has a general antagonistic effect on pathogenic fungi, and can therefore control flower gray mold, leaf mold, root rot, damping-off, seedling blight, southern blight, phytophthora blight, etc. It can be used for seed dressing, root drenching, and spraying. It cannot be mixed with alkaline or acidic pesticides, and especially cannot be mixed with fungicides.
Genfute, also known as Root Rot 110, is a low-toxicity fungicide. This product can effectively control fungal and bacterial diseases such as root rot, stem base rot, phytophthora disease, and downy mildew on many flowers, and can activate the root system, strengthen roots, resist premature aging, promote well-developed root systems in weak seedlings, and revive aging root systems. The methods of use include seed soaking, root drenching, and spraying. For root drenching, during the plant growth period, dilute the 2.5% aqueous solution 600 times and pour 200 to 300 ml per plant; for spraying, use an 800 to 1000 times dilution of this product. This product should not be mixed with alkaline pesticides.
Chongchadi is a low-toxicity biological preparation. It is a kind of biologically active bacterium, and the product is a black powder. In addition to disease prevention, this agent also has the effects of activating soil, improving soil, cultivating soil, preventing soil salinization, supplementing trace elements, and increasing fertilizer use efficiency. It can control many diseases, such as damping-off, anthracnose, rust, powdery mildew, brown spot, downy mildew, etc. It can be applied in holes, bands, or furrows. This agent cannot be mixed with chemical fungicides.
