How to scientifically select herbicides for spice crops
Precautions for herbicide use During the use of herbicides in vegetable plastic-film mulching cultivation, in order to achieve safety, economy and effectiveness, the following points should also be noted in operation: 1. During herbicide application, the amount of water used to dilute each 667 sq m dose must not be less than 40-50 kg at minimum; only by ensuring wet...
Onion and bulb onion, as spice crops, have continuously expanding planted areas. In the production of onion and bulb onion, improper selection of herbicides often causes seasonal yield reduction or total crop failure, and can also leave residual toxicity for subsequent crops. In pollution-free production of onion and bulb onion, the skillful use of herbicides is crucial. When raising onion seedlings, 65-75 g of 50% prometryn wettable powder can be used per mu, sprayed with 40-60 kg of water. When raising bulb onion seedlings, 100 ml of 33% pendimethalin (Herbicide Tong) emulsifiable concentrate can be used per mu, or 150 ml of 48% butralin (Dileamine) emulsifiable concentrate per mu.
For onion, after land preparation and before transplanting, 66-72 ml of 24% oxyfluorfen (Goal) can be used per mu, sprayed with 50-60 kg of water. For bulb onion, after land preparation and before transplanting, 100-150 ml of 48% trifluralin emulsifiable concentrate can be used per mu, or 200 ml of 48% butralin (Dileamine) emulsifiable concentrate per mu, sprayed with 50-60 kg of water.
For onion at the 3-4 leaf stage after planting, 66-72 ml of 24% Goal can be used per mu, sprayed with 50-60 kg of water. After bulb onion transplanting, 100-150 ml of 33% Herbicide Tong emulsifiable concentrate can be used per mu, or 100 g of 50% linuron wettable powder per mu, sprayed with 50-60 kg of water.
To improve the effect of herbicide application on onion and bulb onion, note that during seedling raising it should be applied after sowing and before emergence. After transplanting, it should be applied after the seedlings are planted and before weeds emerge. For onion, Goal is prohibited during the 2-leaf stage, and should be used with caution before the 3-leaf stage. When temperatures are low, apply around noon on sunny days; when temperatures are high, apply in the morning or afternoon. Prometryn is not suitable for sandy soil.
