Application Methods and Technical Key Points of Pre-emergence Herbicides for Soybean
How are growth regulators used on banana? Please advise. The growth, development, flowering and fruiting of banana are affected by nutrients and endogenous hormones within the plant as well as external environmental conditions (climate, soil, management level). During growth and development, it is often constrained by one aspect or another, which affects the yield and quality of banana fruit. Plant...
How should herbicides be applied before soybean emergence? Please advise. For pre-emergence herbicides, pre-emergence (pre-sprouting) herbicides should be selected. Clomazone has a short residual life and is safe for the following crop, making it the first-choice agent. For chemical weed control after soybean sowing and before emergence, lactofen, haloxyfop-R-methyl, 2,4-D and the like must not be selected.
Strict standards, scientific mixing of the spray solution. The formula for chemical weed control after soybean sowing and before emergence is: 48% clomazone emulsifiable concentrate 70 mL + 59% acetochlor emulsifiable concentrate 100 mL + 70% chlorimuron-ethyl soluble powder 2 g, mixed with 30 kg of water, sufficient to spray one mu of land. When preparing the mixed pesticide, first add the pesticides into the container according to the standard, then dilute the powder pesticide with a little clean water into a mother liquor and add it to the container, and finally add the measured amount of clean water. Do not first fill the container with water and then add the pesticide liquid, so as to prevent uneven spraying and poor efficacy caused by insufficient dissolution and mixing of water and pesticide.
Spray at the right time and ensure sufficient water volume. Soybean must not be sprayed immediately after sowing, to prevent weather such as drought from affecting efficacy, but it also must not be too late. The correct method is: for plots with good soil moisture, spray 3-4 days after sowing; for plots with poor soil moisture, finish spraying 4-5 days before emergence. Therefore, when applying pre-emergence weed control technology, attention must be paid to ensuring sufficient water volume. Taking an air-blast sprayer pulled by a small four-wheel agricultural tractor as an example, its tank capacity is 175-200 kg, equipped with high-pressure nozzles, advancing in second gear at medium throttle, so that each tank of spray solution can cover 6-7 mu, ensuring a water application rate of 30-35 kg per mu. At the same time, depending on soil moisture and climatic conditions, a supplementary spray of clean water may be applied at any time, 20-30 kg per mu, to improve efficacy.
