Chemical weed control in rice seedling beds saves labor, saves effort, and gives good results. However, in production, if the method of use is improper, it will cause herbicide damage, and in severe cases the seedlings must be destroyed and re-raised. Therefore, chemical weed control in seedling beds must master the following use techniques:

Different seedling-raising methods require different selected herbicides and methods of use. At present, there are two seedling-raising methods in production: one is water-raised seedlings (moist seedling raising); the other is dry-raised seedlings. Dry-raised chemical weed control technique: after sowing and covering with soil, for every 66.7 sq m of seedling bed, use 10 ml of 42% butachlor.oxadiazon, mix with 4 kg of water, and spray the soil to seal it, then cover with film after spraying. Water-raised seedling chemical weed control technique: the timing for chemical weed control is when the seedlings grow to the 2-leaf 1-heart stage, withdraw the water layer from the field surface, and for every 66.7 sq m of seedling bed, use 5 grams of 36% bensulfuron.dichloroquinolinic acid, mix with 4-5 kg of water, and spray the seedling bed.

Precautions: (1) The spray solution must be sprayed evenly, and must not be sprayed twice or missed; (2) Herbicides for dry seedling beds must never be used on water seedling beds, otherwise it will cause severe herbicide damage.
