How to prevent grape diseases in spring? A full analysis of the key control points
Spring is the season when grapes bud, unfold their leaves, extend their vines and shoots, and form clusters and bear fruit. How to strengthen grape management in spring and control pests and diseases so as to improve the yield and quality of grapes in that year is a question of widespread concern among grape growers. So the three technical key points for controlling grape pests and diseases in spring are:

Grapes
One,Peeling bark: In early spring, first spread a layer of plastic film under the grapevines, then peel the bark off the grape branches and vines and place it on the film. At the same time, cut off the diseased and pest-infested branches and, together with the bark scraps on the film, take them outside the orchard for burning.
Two,Deep ploughing: When applying the grape budding fertilizer, carry out one deep ploughing of the whole orchard at the same time, to a depth of about 25 cm. In this way the pathogens on the soil surface can be turned under the ground, thereby reducing the occurrence of pests and diseases and the chance of infection.
Three,Chemical control
1. Pre-bud control: In early spring, 7 to 10 days before the grapes bud, use 5 degrees Baume lime sulfur mixture plus 0.3% sodium pentachlorophenate to carry out one thorough disinfection of the whole orchard, so as to eliminate the pathogenic bacteria in the vineyard and reduce the incidence of disease.
2. Post-bud control: After the grapes bud, spray Bordeaux mixture at 0.5 to 1:200 dilution once about every 12 days, which can effectively control the occurrence of grape powdery mildew, black spot disease, black mold and rot.
