Vegetable plant death is extremely difficult to cure, how can it be effectively prevented?
In vegetable cultivation, the phenomenon of plant death occurs frequently. To increase soil aeration and prevent vegetable plant death, the following points must be done well:

Vegetable plant death
First, deep plowing of the soil. Before planting vegetables, the soil must be deep plowed. It is best to first use a shovel to plow 30cm deep, and then use a rotary tiller to break the soil up finely. This kind of soil is permeable to air and water, and is also conducive to the vegetable roots growing deep.
Second, increase the application of organic fertilizer. When soil organic matter is insufficient but chemical fertilizer is used excessively, the soil easily becomes compacted and has poor aeration. Therefore, soil aeration can be improved and soil properties can be changed by increasing the application of organic fertilizer. Depending on the vegetable variety, 15—25 cubic meters of chicken manure can be applied as a base fertilizer per mu.
Third, change the cultivation method.Improving soil aeration can also be achieved by changing the cultivation method, such as ridge cultivation. Because watering is done in the furrows, the soil on the ridge surface has good aeration and warms up noticeably. With furrow-planted vegetables, however, the soil around the roots is often compacted by water, making aeration worse and easily causing root rot. Therefore, ridge cultivation of vegetables is advocated.
Fourth, the use of biological bacterial fertilizer. After the biological bacteria in biological fertilizer enter the soil, they multiply in large numbers, playing a role in activating and loosening the soil, improving soil structure and increasing soil aeration. 150—200 kg of biological fertilizer can be applied as a base fertilizer per mu, or 25—30 kg can be applied as a flush fertilizer per mu.
Fifth, reasonable watering. When watering vegetables normally, be sure to note that the amount of water used at one time should not be too large. Never flood irrigate; micro-irrigation is best. After watering, when the soil is dry on the surface but moist below, timely intertillage and loosening of the soil should be carried out. Only in this way can soil aeration be increased.
