To prevent vegetable root diseases, vegetable growers commonly drench roots with fungicides. Although the effect is good, certain precautions during root drenching must not be ignored, otherwise there will be side effects.
First, greenhouses that have already used bacterial fertilizer should try not to use fungicide root drenching for disease prevention. For plots where bacterial fertilizer has been applied, using fungicides afterward can easily kill the biological bacteria in the bacterial fertilizer, causing the bacterial fertilizer to lose its fertilizing effect. If the crop has already developed disease, then fungicide root drenching must be used, and there is no need to consider whether the biological bacteria in the bacterial fertilizer are harmed, so as not to lose more than you gain and cause an outbreak of disease.         Second, do not pour large amounts of water in the greenhouse within a few days after root drenching. Pouring large amounts of water immediately after applying the fungicide will lower the concentration of the solution and affect the control effect. Therefore, within a few days after fungicide root drenching, try not to pour large amounts of water. If water is lacking, a small amount of water can be run along the planting furrow, with the water level reaching 1/3 of the ridge height as appropriate. Be careful never to let it flow over the ridge surface, so as to avoid diluting the concentration of the fungicide solution in the soil.
Third, after using fungicide root drenching, if symptoms of phytotoxicity such as wilting, yellowing, or stunted growth appear, timely remedies should be taken. Immediately pour water once to dilute the concentration of the fungicide solution in the soil, and promptly spray or drench with rooting agents or Aiduoshou or other root-promoting agents. This has a significant effect on relieving phytotoxicity and restoring plant vigor.
