Key technical points for timely replanting after tomato plant death
1. Clean the planting hole. After a tomato plant dies, the pathogenic bacteria in the original planting hole will inevitably increase. The planting hole must first be cleaned and the pathogenic bacteria killed to ensure that the newly replanted tomato seedlings will not become infected and die again. When treating the planting hole, you can use Yinfuli, Kaite, Xiangnong No. 4, etc. diluted with water and pour the solution in, at least 3-5 liang per hole, so that the soil in the hole is soaked and the sterilization effect is achieved;

2. Treat the seedling roots. Before planting, tomato seedlings need their roots treated with chemicals first to prevent pathogenic bacteria from “taking advantage of the weakness”. Generally, you can use Yinfuli, hymexazol, Proplant, etc. together with chitin to soak the tomato seedling roots, sterilizing and promoting root growth;
3. Pour chemicals after planting. Within half a month after planting is an important period for disease occurrence. Before this, that is, 7-10 days after planting, is exactly when “the old strength has gone and the new strength has not yet arisen”. If the tomato roots are drenched with chemicals once at this time, the probability of plant death can be greatly reduced. For root drenching, you can use Proplant and hymexazol together with chitin, chitosan oligosaccharide, etc., for a better root-promoting and root-nourishing effect.
The second peak period for tomato plant death is near the time before fruit set. At this time the tomato plants are larger, and losses are heavier after plant death occurs. When problems appear at this time, it is best to first treat the spot where the plant died and the surrounding plants with chemicals, drenching in a circular pattern radiating outward, to prevent healthy plants from becoming infected; if plant death occurs only sporadically, you can leave more branches on the tomatoes on both sides, or use double-stem training, to make full use of the space after plant death and avoid a significant reduction in yield.
Note that the diseases that cause tomato plant death are mostly spread by flowing water. After plant death occurs, do not water immediately, especially do not flood irrigate, and also try to prevent rainwater from entering the greenhouse.
