The fruit surface is rough, affecting the apple's market appeal. How can the fruit surface glossiness be improved?

    1. Fruit bagging. Bagging apples can effectively improve the glossiness of the apple fruit surface. Bagging apples can make the skin smooth, fine and tender, with bright color, fewer rust spots, and small and few fruit dots, thereby improving the apple's external quality.

    2. Control the amount of nitrogen fertilizer. If the amount of nitrogen fertilizer is too much, bagged fruit will de-green poorly, the fruit surface will be dull and dirty, and red varieties of apples will color slowly and lightly; on the contrary, with moderate nitrogen fertilizer, the fruit skin's ground color is light, the coloring is bright and beautiful, red varieties are more vivid, and fruit russeting becomes lighter.

    3. Let apples grow freely hanging. Apples growing as single fruit hanging freely downward, not close to branches, trunks, leaves, or fruit, can effectively avoid branch rubbing, leaf rubbing, water rust, cracking, and the breeding of pests and diseases.

    4. Pesticides and foliar fertilizers must be used reasonably. If pesticides and foliar fertilizers are used at the wrong time or concentration, they often irritate the apple fruit surface and cause roughness, or even pesticide damage, affecting glossiness and fruit quality traits. One month before harvest, the apple orchard should stop spraying Bordeaux mixture or thick lime milk, and instead use fungicides with no residue and no residual spots, such as Daconil M-45, Nongkang 120, polyoxin, etc. During the apple flowering period, spray 800-fold Meiguoling solution; at the bud stage, young fruit stage, apple enlargement stage, and before harvest, spray 500-600-fold Meiguoling solution; from young fruit to before harvest, spray 400-fold amino acid compound micro-fertilizer. Spraying these micro-fertilizers 3-5 times throughout the year can thicken the waxy layer on the fruit surface.

    5. Spray fruit surface protectants. Spraying 500-800-fold high-lipid film or 200-fold paraffin emulsion, etc., can reduce rust spots or micro-cracks on the apple fruit surface and significantly improve the apple's external quality.
