How effective is dimehypo? Which pests can dimehypo control? What should be noted when using dimehypo? We ask knowledgeable readers to help explainZhongdiwang has compiled information on dimehypo, listed in detail below for readers' reference.
The insecticidal principle of dimehypo:
Dimehypo has strong contact and stomach poison action, along with a certain fumigant effect. It can be absorbed and translocated by crops, especially strong absorption by crop roots, and can be transported to all parts of the plant within one day. When pests come into contact with or ingest the pesticide, they show slow movement, stop developing, and their bodies soften, losing the ability to damage crops further, but the efficacy takes effect relatively slowly. It can be used on rice, vegetables, fruit trees and other crops.
Pests that dimehypo can control:
It is effective againstleafminers, swallowtail butterflies、cabbage caterpillars, diamondback moths, tea geometrids, tea leafminers, small green leafhoppers, rice stem borers (Chilo suppressalis), yellow stem borers (Scirpophaga incertulas), giant borers (Sesamia inferens) and others, all of which can be effectively controlled.
How to use dimehypo:
1. Control of rice leaf folder (Cnaphalocrocis medinalis) and rice skippers: during the peak hatching period of 1st to 2nd instar larvae, use 150-200 ml of 18% dimehypo aqueous solution per mu, diluted with water and sprayed.
2. Control of rice stem borers (Chilo suppressalis), yellow stem borers (Scirpophaga incertulas) and giant borers (Sesamia inferens): use 200-250 ml of 18% dimehypo aqueous solution per mu, diluted with water and sprayed.
3. Control of cabbage caterpillars and diamondback moths: use 100-200 ml of 25% dimehypo aqueous solution per mu, diluted with water and sprayed.
Precautions for using dimehypo:
Dimehypo not only has strong contact and stomach poison action against silkworms, but also has a certain fumigant effect, so great care must be taken when using it in silkworm-rearing areas.
In summer high temperatures, vegetable seedlings are sensitive to dimehypo and prone to pesticide damage therefore dimehypo should not be used on vegetables in summer.
25% dimehypo should not be used more than 3 times on rice the safe interval for early rice is 7 days, and the safe interval for late rice is 15 days.
