Master seven methods of mushroom supplementary fertilization to achieve high yields

To achieve high mushroom yields, supplementary fertilization is needed: seven methods of mushroom supplementary fertilization

After three harvests, the nutrients in the mushroom growing medium decrease, the acidity rises, the vitality of the mycelium weakens, and both yield and quality decline. To achieve premium mushroom production, supplementary fertilization must be applied. The methods are as follows:

Mushroom supplementary fertilization

    1. Take decomposed pig or cow urine, boil for 20 minutes, filter, then dilute with 10—20 times clean water and spray on the mushrooms; after spraying, spray once more with clean water.

    2. Take decomposed, sun-dried material grass, add 100 times clean water, boil into a liquid, let cool, then spray; this makes the mushrooms robust.

    3. When mushroom yield and quality drop sharply, clean the bed surface, remove old roots and dead mushrooms, crush fresh dry pig manure and cow manure, moisten with clear lime water, compost for 15 days, then add fertile soil equal to one third of the manure weight and a small amount of plant ash, mix well, scatter on the bed surface, and continue routine management.

    4. Take 2.5 kg of plant ash, soak in 50 kg of water, take the filtrate and spray; this strengthens the mushrooms and prevents them from turning red.

    5. Take 0.5 kg of glucose, add 50 kg of water, dissolve, then spray; this promotes thick mushroom flesh and thick stems. If glucose is unavailable, white sugar can be used instead.

    6. Take 250 g of table salt, add 50 kg of water, spray during the peak fruiting period; this makes the mushrooms white and firm.

    7. Take 0.5 kg of lime, add 50 kg of water, stir and let stand, then take the clear liquid and spray; after spraying, spray once more with clean water. Repeat once every 6 to 7 days to adjust the pH of the growing medium and soil and promote normal mushroom growth.
