On today's agricultural input market, quizalofop-p-ethyl emulsifiable concentrate herbicides at 5%, 8%, 8.8%, 10%, 10.8% and 15% are commonly seen, but many readers do not understand the herbicidal mechanism and scope of application of quizalofop-p-ethyl herbicide, so Zhongdiwang has compiled the mechanism and application methods of quizalofop-p-ethyl herbicide, listed in detail below for readers' reference.

The herbicidal mechanism of quizalofop-p-ethyl herbicide:
Quizalofop-p-ethyl is an improved low-toxicity herbicide obtained by removing the inactive optical isomer during the synthesis of quizalofop. The mechanism of quizalofop-p-ethyl is that it is absorbed through the stems and leaves of weeds, conducts both upward and downward within the plant, accumulates at the growing tips and intercalary meristems, inhibits fatty acid synthesis in cells, and causes the weeds to die.

Quizalofop-p-ethyl is a highly selective new type of stem-and-leaf treatment agent for dry fields, with high selectivity between grass weeds and dicotyledonous crops, and it has good control efficacy against grass weeds in broadleaf crop fields. Quizalofop-p-ethyl acts faster, has more stable efficacy, and is not easily affected by environmental conditions such as rain, temperature and humidity.

Moreover, while the efficacy of quizalofop-p-ethyl is not reduced, the dosage used is also reduced, making it safer for environmental protection; quizalofop-p-ethyl is suitable for many crops such as soybean, sugar beet, rapeseed, potato, flax, pea, broad bean, tobacco, watermelon, apple, grape, cotton, peanut and broadleaf vegetables.

Weeds that quizalofop-p-ethyl can effectively control include:Wild oat, barnyardgrass, foxtail, yellow foxtail, crabgrass, wild millet, goosegrass, shortawn foxtail, lovegrass, Chinese sprangletop, brome, Hordeum species, Italian ryegrass, darnel, Panicum species, bluegrass, two-spike paspalum, bermudagrass, cogongrass, quackgrass, reed and other annual and perennial grass weeds.

        Application methods of quizalofop-p-ethyl herbicide:
        1. Soybean field: when annual grass weeds have grown to about the three-leaf stage, use 50-80 ml of 5% quizalofop-p-ethyl emulsifiable concentrate per mu, diluted with water, and spray it on the weed stems and leaves.
        2. Watermelon field: when annual grass weeds have grown to about the three-to-5-leaf stage, use 40-60 ml of 5% quizalofop-p-ethyl emulsifiable concentrate per mu, diluted with water, and spray it on the weed stems and leaves.
        3. Rapeseed field: when annual grass weeds have grown to the three-leaf stage, use 50-80 ml of 5% quizalofop-p-ethyl emulsifiable concentrate per mu, diluted with water, and spray it on the weed stems and leaves.

         Precautions for using quizalofop-p-ethyl herbicide:
         1. When using quizalofop-p-ethyl to control foxtail and wild millet, use 0.75-1.0 L per hectare. The dosage needs to be adjusted according to the leaf age of the weeds; when the weed leaf age is small, the dosage can be lower, and when the weed leaf age is larger, the dosage should be appropriately increased.

         2. Mixing quizalofop-p-ethyl with bentazone reduces the barnyardgrass-killing effect of quizalofop-p-ethyl, and it must not be mixed with acifluorfen or imazethapyr.

         3. After quizalofop-p-ethyl is applied to the weed leaf surface, the weed plants turn yellow and stop growing within 2 days; 5 to 7 days after application, the young leaves and primary tissues at the nodes wither, and the weeds will only completely die in about 14 days.

         4. In cotton, peanut, rapeseed, soybean and other crops, 5% quizalofop-p-ethyl emulsifiable concentrate can be used at most 1 time against annual grass weeds.
