Omethoate is a highly toxic insecticide with systemic, contact and some stomach-poison action, and it features fast knockdown, high efficacy and a broad spectrum. Omethoate can be absorbed by the stems and leaves of plants into the human body, and can be transported to parts not sprayed with the solution, killing the pests feeding there. Therefore, when using omethoate, the stem-smearing method can be used to apply the pesticide.
It also has the feature that high or low temperatures have relatively little effect on the efficacy of omethoate.

        How to use omethoate:
        1. To control cotton aphids, cotton thrips, red spider mites, leafhoppers, etc., use 50 ml of 40% emulsifiable concentrate per mu, diluted with 50-75 kg of water, and spray.
        2. To control vegetable aphids, red spider mites, thrips, leafminers and other pests, use 50 ml of 40% emulsifiable concentrate per mu, diluted with 60-80 kg of water, and spray.

        3. To control rice planthoppers, leafhoppers, thrips, stem borers and other pests, use 75-100 ml of 40% emulsifiable concentrate per mu, diluted with 75-100 kg of water, and spray.
        4. To control tobacco aphids, tobacco thrips and tobacco budworms, use 60 ml of 40% emulsifiable concentrate per mu, diluted with 50-75 kg of water, and spray.

        5. To control fruit tree leafhoppers, pear psyllids, pear star caterpillars, spider mites, red spider mites, citrus red wax scale, arrowhead scale, chaff scale, brown round scale and other pests, use a 800-1000 times dilution of 40% emulsifiable concentrate to spray fruit trees evenly.

         Pre-harvest intervals for using omethoate:
         1. Rice: use 40% omethoate emulsifiable concentrate at most once, with a pre-harvest interval of 21 days.
         2. Wheat: use 40% omethoate emulsifiable concentrate at most twice, with a pre-harvest interval of 21 days.
         3. Cotton: use 40% omethoate emulsifiable concentrate at most twice, with a pre-harvest interval of 14 days.
         4. Fruit trees: use 40% omethoate emulsifiable concentrate at most once, with a pre-harvest interval of 21 days.
         5. Vegetables: it is recommended not to use omethoate; for short-season crops, for food safety, please do not use or reduce the use of highly toxic pesticides!

Because 40% omethoate emulsifiable concentrate can cause poisoning through the esophagus, respiratory tract and skin, protective measures must be taken before spraying omethoate. The treatment drugs are atropine and pralidoxime.
