Which diseases can boscalid control? Which crops can use boscalid? What are the characteristics of the boscalid fungicide? The following is a brief introduction from Zhongdiwang for netizens' reference.

Boscalid is a new nicotinamide fungicide developed by the German company BASF, mainly used to control powdery mildew, gray mold, various rot diseases, brown rot and root rot, etc.
Boscalid translocates in plants through leaf penetration, inhibits mitochondrial succinate dehydrogenase, blocks the tricarboxylic acid cycle, causes deficiency of amino acids and sugars and reduced energy, interferes with cell division and growth, has neural activity against diseases, and has protective and therapeutic effects. It inhibits spore germination, germ tube elongation, mycelial growth and sporulation, the main stages of fungal growth and reproduction. The fungicidal effect is caused directly by the parent active substance, with no corresponding metabolic activity.

Boscalid is a new nicotinamide fungicide with a relatively broad fungicidal spectrum, active against almost all types of fungal diseases, very effective in controlling powdery mildew, gray mold, sclerotinia and various rot diseases, and also effective against strains resistant to other agents. It is mainly used for the control of diseases in oilseed rape, grapes, fruit trees, vegetables and field crops, etc. It has no cross-resistance with carbendazim, procymidone and the like.
At the same time, boscalid uses o-iodoaniline as a raw material, first reacting with 2-chloronicotinoyl chloride, then undergoing a Suzuki reaction with p-chlorophenylboronic acid to obtain the target product.
