Baijiu is made by fermenting grain or certain fruits, has a sterilizing effect, and is commonly used as a disinfectant cleaner and preservative. So do you know what use it has in agriculture? Would you like to find out?

     1. Disinfection of mulberry leaf surfaces. Add 50 grams of baijiu to 500 grams of cold boiled water and evenly spray 15 kg of mulberry leaves; after they dry slightly (about 10-20 minutes), feed them to the silkworms. It has an inhibitory and killing effect on pathogenic microorganisms. At the same time, it can also improve the temperature and humidity environment of the silkworm rearing room. If the leaves are collected in the morning with dew or after rain with rainwater, they can be directly sprayed with baijiu.

2. Disinfection of egg surfaces. Soak silkworm eggs in 60-degree baijiu, then immediately remove them after about 60-70 seconds, shake off the excess liquor, spread out the silkworm eggs, and let them hatch. In this way, the ants can emerge earlier, emerge uniformly, grow robustly, and have fewer diseases.

3. Disinfection of the silkworm rearing bed. Spraying baijiu around the silkworm rearing bed can purify the environment and drive away mosquitoes and flies.

4. Harmonize various medicines and enhance medicinal efficacy. Make a suspension with 250 milligrams of chloramphenicol, 50 grams of baijiu, 50 grams of fresh lime, and 500 grams of cold boiled water and feed it to the silkworms. It has a special effect in treating bacterial diseases, and in treating viral diseases it is clearly superior to pure chloramphenicol.

Use 2000 grams of 50-60 degree baijiu to soak 30 grams of garlic, 15 grams of astragalus, 12 grams of earthworm, 10 grams of epimedium, 10 grams of isatis root, 8 grams of coptis, 8 grams of scutellaria, 8 grams of phellodendron, 8 grams of gentian, 6 grams of angelica, 6 grams of dwarf lilyturf, 6 grams of mulberry mistletoe, and 6 grams of licorice for more than 10 days and feed it to the silkworms. It can effectively inhibit and treat cytoplasmic polyhedrosis, densonucleosis, and viral softening disease.
