Grandparent stock imports of white-feathered broilers to continue decreasing by 10% in 2015
January 8, 2015 marks the 1st anniversary of the founding of the White-Feathered Broiler Alliance. The Alliance once again convened a special meeting on grandparent stock imports to jointly discuss the healthy development of the white-feathered broiler industry. Alliance President Li Jinghui analyzed the industry's situation and the difficulties it faces, and proposed continuing to implement the reduction plan to resolve the problem of overcapacity. Grandparent stock enterprises responded positively, and their understanding of the industry gradually became more mature and rational. Proceeding from the overall interests of the industry, they overcame their own difficulties and took the initiative to reduce volumes. Larger enterprises in particular, such as Shandong Yisheng, Beijing Arbor Acres, and Beijing Dafeng, led the way with greater reductions, setting an example for the healthy development of the industry. After full discussion and consultation, they unanimously agreed to continue reducing by 10%, and determined that grandparent stock imports for 2015 would be reduced to 1.089 million sets. At the same time, they called on all enterprises to strengthen self-discipline, change their business philosophy, and incorporate forced molting into management.
It is expected that after two consecutive years of reducing grandparent stock imports, production capacity will be effectively alleviated, production and sales will gradually move toward balance, and this will play a crucial role in the healthy development of the white-feathered broiler industry.
