Litigation Tug-of-War Has Lasted More Than Two Years
The dispute between Noposion and Meiming Company can be traced back to January 2024. All three parties - the plaintiffs and defendants - were dissatisfied with the judgment and all appealed. There is currently no subsequent public information.
Afterward, starting in March 2025, Meiming Company launched a series of lawsuits against Noposion's subsidiaries, accusing the latter of infringing its plant new variety rights, and the scale of litigation continued to expand. In April 2026, Meiming Company again sued Yanshan Manyuemei and Tengchong Wangyuemei for infringement of plant new variety rights, with the amount involved reaching 185 million yuan. Noposion's claim against Meiming Company has also reached 147 million yuan, and the cumulative amount involved in the mutual lawsuits between the two parties has reached several hundred million yuan.
