Estate story

Estate owner and his son
This is a story of twists and turns and an inseparable bond with coffee.
The estate owner, Mr. Johel Monge, is the third generation of coffee farmers in his family. When he was 15 years old, his father gave him a piece of land as capital to grow coffee and live independently, so he naturally became a diligent coffee farmer.
However, at the age of 21, Johel Monge had a new dream: he wanted to study land surveying, so he sold the coffee farm. After completing his studies, he worked as a land surveyor for 20 years. Even after retirement, the restless Mr. Johel Monge decided to become a coffee farmer once again. He bought a piece of land called Hacienda San Isidro Labrador Estate and took up once more the career he had loved most as a child.

Today, Hacienda San Isidro Labrador Estate is managed day to day by Mr. Johel Monge's son, Matias Monge. After graduating from university, Matias became a mechanical engineer and worked in that field for several years. Perhaps because of the passion for coffee passed down through the family, he eventually returned to the family farm to help his father with the coffee business.
Meticulous management and drying
Through the joint efforts of father and son, the estate has successfully participated in several COE auctions in recent years and achieved very good results.
