In captive breeding, feed sources are wide-ranging; all kinds of pasture grass, green vegetables, straw and so on can be used for feeding. Generally, green feed and succulent feed are given in the morning and at midday, and green feed plus a small amount of pelleted feed in the evening.

Wild green grass, most tree leaves and crop by-products are important sources of green feed for hares. According to the feeding characteristics of green feed, it can be divided into three major categories.

1. Staple category

1) Tree leaves: mainly mulberry leaves, willow leaves, alder leaves, black locust leaves, redbud leaves, tree-of-heaven leaves, and white poplar leaves.

2) Wild weeds: in summer and autumn there are grass-family green grasses such as brome, foxtail grass, Kentucky bluegrass, oats, barnyard grass, thatch grass and bamboo, as well as field weeds such as field wormwood, groundsel and water dropwort; in winter and spring there are shortawn foxtail, limpograss, thatch grass and wild oat grass, etc.

3) Vegetable by-products: all kinds of melon leaves, bean leaves, carrot leaves, lettuce leaves, green vegetable leaves, Chinese cabbage leaves, etc.

4) Crop by-products: sweet potato vines, corn leaves, sorghum leaves, broad bean leaves, peanut vines, pea vines.

2. Beneficial category

Hares do not like to eat these, but they can be eaten; the amount used should not be too much.

1) Tree leaves: citrus leaves, cypress leaves, mulberry leaves and pine needles; they respectively have the effects of preventing colds, preventing diarrhea and clearing heat.

2) Wild weeds

① Heat-clearing and detoxifying category: cactus, honeysuckle vine, houttuynia, dandelion, wild chrysanthemum, selfheal, reed bamboo leaves, water coptis, lysimachia, watermelon rind, misgurnus string, plantain; in addition, sweet wormwood also has the effect of preventing coccidiosis.

② Warming the middle and dispelling cold category: perilla, Mexican tea, shepherd's purse, ageratum, smilax glabra.

③ Sterilizing and strengthening the spleen category: mainly garlic, garlic sprouts, onion leaves, small onion leaves, Chinese chives, celery; they contain phytoncides and also have antidiarrheal and deworming effects.

3. Non-beneficial category

Tests and practice have shown that some green grasses and wild vegetables cannot be used to feed hares, so as to avoid poisoning and death.

1) Under no circumstances should the following toxic green grasses and wild vegetables be fed: potato vines, tomato vines, larch, globeflower, Chinese pulsatilla, deciduous azalea, wild ginger, larkspur, castor bean, ragwort, monkshood, black henbane, white henbane, belladonna, water taro, harmel, datura flower, wild grape vine, langdu, etc.

2) Some green grasses and green vegetables, when fed to rabbits at a certain stage of growth and development, can easily cause poisoning. For example: yellow and white flower grass, and osmanthus are toxic when in bud and flowering, and must not be fed to rabbits; buckwheat and wild rape are toxic when flowering, and must not be fed to rabbits; flax is toxic when the seeds and stems are mature, and must not be fed to rabbits; feeding potato sprouts to rabbits easily causes poisoning.

3) For lactating female hares, after eating colchicum, wet forest grass anemone, medicinal hound's tongue, wood sorrel, wild onion, stinking chamomile, arcuate rock cress, reed, tansy and poison hemlock, the milk carries an unpleasant odor, and the young rabbits will be poisoned after nursing.

4) Corn seedlings, sorghum seedlings, potato leaves (containing solanine), castor leaves (containing ricin), and second-growth sorghum seedlings that regrow after autumn also must not be fed to rabbits.

4. Unusable category

1) Moldy and spoiled feed.

2) Forage carrying mud, dust or sharp thorns.

3) Vegetables, tree leaves and green grasses that have been sprayed with pesticides, while the efficacy period has not expired.

4) Feed carrying rainwater, dew or frost.

5) Feed contaminated by feces or urine.

6) Sprouted potatoes and sweet potatoes with black spot disease.

7) Legume feed that has not been steamed, boiled or roasted.

8) Large amounts of forage such as Swiss chard, spinach and Chinese milk vetch.

What are the solutions to cattle feed problems?
(1) Barn-fed beef cattle are generally fed twice a day, which makes scheduling and management easier, but studies show that increasing the number of feedings and extending feeding time can increase the fat thickness of beef cattle carcasses and overall body weight, and reduce the lean meat content of the carcass. What problems and matters need attention when raising chickens
Summary Choose chicks with sufficient vitality, raise them free-range in summer and mostly indoors in winter; when it is too cold, the chicken coop needs light and heating. Chickens of similar size should be raised together, and hens and chicks should be raised separately. Scientific and reasonable feeding not only makes chickens grow faster but also increases egg production. Farms should regularly vaccinate the flock, the chickens' drinking utensils should be disinfected often, and good ventilation in the coop should be maintained.

Five problems in yam cultivation and production
In recent years, by analysing my own 3 years of practice growing twin-tuber trellis-free yams and surveying more than ten thousand local yam growers, I have found that no matter which variety is grown, five problems commonly exist in yam production that affect quality to varying degrees. 1. Yam red spot disease. Commonly

Common problems after sowing wheat and how to solve them
◇What to do if the wheat variety is chosen improperly? Sowing spring-type and weakly winter-type varieties on medium and early stubble fields will cause the wheat seedlings to grow excessively before winter, which is not conducive to safe overwintering. Countermeasures: On the basis of early hoeing and pressing, earth up around the roots before winter, or apply "mengtou manure" to protect the wheat seedlings for safe overwintering.

What are the common problems when transplanting muskmelons?
(1) Preparation of the planting site. After the previous crop is harvested, plowing should be done immediately. Because muskmelons require a loose and deep tilth layer, the plowing depth should be 25-30 cm, and should not be shallower than 20 cm. Deep plowing can thicken the loose soil layer, increase soil pores, activate the soil, and

How to remedy problems encountered during mushroom growth?
(1) The mycelium does not grow onto the casing soil layer. This is mainly because the compost is over-fermented or under-fermented, or the pH of the compost and casing soil is improper; or because too much water is sprayed after casing, flowing into the compost layer and causing the mycelium to shrink or die. In cultivation, measures should be taken to strengthen ventilation, adjust the pH, and insert holes into the compost to release excess
