What are the solutions to cattle feed problems?
(1) Barn-fed beef cattle are generally fed twice a day, which makes scheduling and management easier, but studies show that increasing the number of feedings and extending feeding time can increase the fat thickness of beef cattle carcasses and overall body weight, and reduce the lean meat content of the carcass.
(2) Add a certain amount of enzymes to beef cattle rations. For example, ligninase or cellulase; regardless of what kind of concentrate is fed to beef cattle, the flavor of the beef is slightly improved
(3) Poultry manure has a relatively high protein content and, after drying and disinfection, can be used as feed for beef cattle.
(4) Rumenin is a commonly used feed additive for beef cattle. Supplementing 300KG per head of cattle per day can regulate rumen fermentation and improve feed utilization. Since rumenin is not digested or absorbed, there is no residue in the beef cattle's body, and it has no effect on the quality of the beef cattle.
(5) Barley and corn are the two main feeds for beef cattle. Under otherwise identical feed conditions, beef cattle fed barley have slightly better flavor than those fed corn. However, this difference is very small and has no obvious impact on consumer choice; feed selection should still be based mainly on local resources.
The main thing is proper feed formulation. In a sense, solving the feed problem well means more than half of the success of farming, and a nutritionally balanced ration is the fundamental solution to the feed problem.
