Lu'an Guapian is a green tea, mainly produced in the Dabie Mountains area of Lu'an City, Anhui Province, and is one of China's traditional famous teas; it was once offered as a tribute tea in history. It is famous for its unique method of making tea from single leaves and holds an important place among green teas, and is deeply loved by many tea enthusiasts.

The most special thing about Lu'an Guapian is its raw material: during picking and processing, only the leaves are taken, with the buds and tea stems removed, making it a rare tea with no buds and no stems. The finished product resembles a melon seed, hence the name Guapian (melon slice). In terms of craft, it is a baked green tea and places great emphasis on the firing process; the traditional "pulling the old fire" step makes the tea's aroma even higher and longer-lasting.

In terms of production areas, Lu'an Guapian has Jinzhai County, Yu'an District and other places as its core producing areas, among which the tea produced in the mountain fields around Qitou Mountain is especially outstanding in quality. According to differences in origin and mountain terrain, it is often divided on the market into inner-mountain tea and outer-mountain tea; generally, inner-mountain tea has a better ecological environment and relatively better quality.

After the finished tea is brewed, the liquor color is clear and bright, the taste is fresh and mellow with a sweet aftertaste, and it often carries a delicate fragrance or an aroma resembling cooked chestnuts. As an unfermented green tea, it does not keep for long; in daily storage, attention should be paid to sealing, avoiding light, and preventing moisture. If conditions allow, it can be refrigerated at low temperature, and it should be drunk as fresh as possible to maintain its flavor.
