The rose (Rosa multiflora) is a deciduous climbing or shrub plant of the genus Rosa in the family Rosaceae, with slender stems that often bear prickles, pinnately compound leaves, and flowers that mostly open in clusters, in colors such as pink, white and red. Its blooming period is mostly concentrated in late spring and early summer; when it blooms, the flowers form masses of color, and it is often used for vertical greening on fences, flower trellises and walls, with high ornamental value.

As for its growing environment, the rose likes a position with plenty of sunlight and good ventilation, and can also tolerate a certain degree of partial shade. It is not demanding about soil, but grows better in loose, fertile, well-drained soil. The rose has strong cold tolerance, and in most regions it can overwinter in the open ground; in summer, when temperatures are high, appropriate watering is all that is needed.

In daily care, watering should follow the principle of watering when the soil is dry and letting it dry out between waterings, avoiding prolonged waterlogging that causes root rot; during the growing season, a light fertilizer can be applied, and after flowering, spent flowers and overly dense branches should be pruned in time, which helps ventilation and light penetration and benefits flowering the following year. If the plant is found to be wilting, it is mostly related to lack of water, waterlogging, or a stuffy, hot environment with poor ventilation; first identify the cause, then adjust watering and management methods accordingly.

In the culture of floral language, the rose is often given the meaning of love and longing, and roses of different colors carry slightly different meanings, so they are often used by people to express emotions and decorate courtyards. Whether planted in the ground or in a pot, as long as it is given sufficient light and moderate water and fertilizer, the rose will respond to the grower's care with abundant blooms.
