Can rose flowers be grown indoors? Read this and you will understand
I. Reasons
Rose flowers are brightly colored, have a rich fragrance, and are full of vitality; they can survive with extensive management, and they have no excessive requirements for soil type, nutrients, water, and so on. When growing them indoors, a large pot is needed. They love sunlight, so if grown indoors, they must be placed in a spot with plenty of sunlight, generally a balcony or a south-facing windowsill.
II. Growing precautions
1. Soil: choose leaf mold or garden soil for planting, and ensure good drainage
2. Light: provide full sunlight during the growing period; at noon in summer when the sun is at its strongest, appropriate shading can be used.
3. Ventilation: be sure to place them in a ventilated spot for growing, and loosen the soil frequently.
4. Watering: water only when the soil is dry
5. Fertilizing: fertilize in a timely manner, once every 15 days, preferably with diluted liquid cake fertilizer; before flowering, some phosphorus and potassium fertilizer can be applied.
6. Pests and diseases: insufficient light makes them prone to powdery mildew and other pests and diseases; after infection, promptly prune away the rotten branches.
