Works by Internationally Renowned Floral Artists Make Their Debut! A Blaze of Blooms in Liede
2025 From February 15 to February 20, 2025, a highly influential floral art event -- 2025 Guangzhou International Floral Art Exhibition × Liede International Block Joint Exhibition grandly opened in Liede. With the theme "Floral Charm of Guangdong, Joyful Bay Area" , it was hosted by the Tianhe District Government Office and organized by the Guangzhou International Floral Art Exhibition Organizing Committee and Future Society, with co-organization by the Guangzhou International Exchange and Cooperation Center and the "Good Station Tianhe" Comprehensive Service Center, drawing the attention of many art enthusiasts and professionals.

The exhibition brought together renowned floral artists from the United States, Russia, Peru, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Their works featured diverse styles, covering installation art, emerging floral art, cross-disciplinary floral design, and many other fields, presenting the audience with a visual feast that blended natural aesthetics with multicultural influences. These works not only showcased exquisite floral techniques, but also reflected the artists' deep thinking on the relationship between floral art and urban space, promoting the innovative development of floral art in a contemporary context.
Among the many outstanding works, Pieter Teisman 's work "Embrace of Colors" by the Dutch cross-disciplinary floral artist was particularly eye-catching. With 35 years of rich professional experience, Pieter Teisman, on February 16 , the opening day, presented to the audience an artwork he had carefully created for the exhibition. The work showed great ingenuity in its use of color, creating a richly layered visual effect through clever color transitions from passionate orange-red to steady deep purple, vividly conveying the different stages of life and the power of resilience.

In addition, the work "Spring Bamboo Shoots" by Su Lisi, president of the Guangdong Flower Culture Society of the World Flower Council, drew inspiration from spring bamboo shoots breaking through the soil at the beginning of spring. With a highly realistic form, it symbolized vigorous vitality and a vision of prosperity, carrying the beautiful blessing of a flourishing family and abundant offspring.
Korean floral master Wu Mian's "Bamboo Reflecting the Path of Light" created a tranquil and harmonious mood through the clever combination of varying bamboo density and light and shadow, demonstrating the pursuit of nature and harmony in Eastern aesthetics.

At this exhibition, many other works were equally striking. Lisa , a floral artist from the United States, created "Urban Garden," which broke away from conventional floral containers by transforming discarded metal pipes into unique vases, paired with brightly colored flowers of various kinds. It symbolized that amid the hustle and bustle of the city, one can still find a quiet corner belonging to nature, showcasing the charm of integrating environmental protection with art.
Russian floral artist Andrey 's "Dream of the White Nights" was also very eye-catching. He selected a large number of white and pale blue flowers, such as white roses and blue irises, to construct a dreamlike scene. In Russia, the white nights are a unique natural phenomenon, and through this work he expressed nostalgia for the distinctive natural scenery of his hometown. Its simple yet poetic design immersed the audience in a dreamlike atmosphere.

Local floral artist Chen Yue's "Lingnan Charm in Full Bloom" was full of rich Lingnan style. It mainly used flowers with Lingnan characteristics such as the queen's crape myrtle and bougainvillea, paired with Manchu window elements featuring Guangfu characteristics, showing the unique charm of Lingnan culture and symbolizing that in the development wave of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, local culture and diverse cultures blend with each other and prosper together.
During February 17 - 19 , the exhibition also specially set up an "Emerging Floral Artists Interactive Zone", inviting well-known young artists to create on site, and arranged floral demonstration performances starting at 2 p.m. each day, immersive creative experience sessions, and other activities. These provided the audience with opportunities to communicate closely with the artists and personally experience the charm of floral art, effectively promoting the popularization and inheritance of floral art and building an important bridge for cultural exchange between China and other countries.

As a model of Guangzhou's internationalized blocks, the Liede International Block takes "Local Guangdong, International Guangdong" as its core concept. This exhibition transformed the block's public spaces into an open art gallery, realizing an "scenery at every step, art changing with every move" immersive experience, organically combining art exhibitions with block services, creating a more attractive living scene for international talent, and further strengthening the Liede Block's "livable, workable, and travelable" positioning as an international block.
2025 Guangzhou International Floral Art Exhibition × Liede International Block Joint Exhibition was successfully held, not only providing a platform for floral art enthusiasts to appreciate excellent works, but also injecting new vitality into the development of the floral art industry, powerfully promoting exchange and cooperation in floral art within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and internationally, and leaving a brilliant mark in the field of art.
