On February 18, the 19th China Plum and Wintersweet Exhibition opened at the Hengshan Scenic Area of Wuxi Plum Garden. On February 18, the 19th China Plum and Wintersweet Exhibition opened at the Hengshan Scenic Area of Wuxi Plum Garden.



It is understood that this China Plum and Wintersweet Exhibition is mainly jointly organized by the Plum and Wintersweet Branch of the China Flower Association, Southeast University, and Wuxi Cultural Tourism Development Group Co., Ltd., with the theme "Plums Fill China, Flowers Bloom in Prosperity." The event will run from February 18 to March 25.


The plum blossoms featured in this event are mainly from more than 20 exhibitors in multiple cities, with nearly 200 classic plum bonsai displayed in different locations throughout the Plum Garden scenic area. From images released by the media, early plum blossoms have already begun to open in the Plum Garden, covering various areas of the garden and encompassing more than 400 varieties.


Blooming plum blossoms can be seen everywhere in the Plum Garden, in a variety of colors, all competing to open, so that a single glance makes you feel as if you are immersed in a sea of flowers. According to staff at the Plum Garden, at this stage 20 percent of the plum blossoms in the garden have already bloomed, and these plum blossoms will accelerate their blooming in the coming days. The spectacular scene of "double plums blooming together" will continue until late February.


It is worth mentioning that, in order to cater to the China Plum and Wintersweet Exhibition, Wuxi Plum Garden has also carried out a series of upgrades to improve visitors' experience in the garden. The entrances and exits of the scenic area have been renovated to create a "Republic of China style" visual effect. The displayed plum bonsai are also paired with display board backgrounds, featuring poetry, calligraphy, painting, and light-and-shadow effects, looking like a series of Chinese ink wash paintings, fully displaying both the beauty of the plum blossom and its unruly spirit.

At the same time, during the exhibition, the Plum Garden has also launched some unique activities. For example, it has extended the scenic area's opening hours so that more people can experience what it is like to see plum groves across the hills in the twilight. In the Plum Garden, internet-famous photo spots such as the red wall with wintersweet and the Plum Blossom Post Office have been set up, attracting many tourists to gather around and take photos. In addition, so that children can also view the plum blossoms, a plum blossom study activity has been launched, allowing children to experience a journey of proud, cold-resistant plum blossoms in the plum groves.


Data shows that Wuxi Plum Garden is a famous plum-viewing destination in Jiangnan, with a thousand mu of plum groves, and decorating the mountain with plum blossoms is the biggest feature of Wuxi Plum Garden. The ticket price for this plum blossom exhibition is 39.9 yuan per person, and tickets must be purchased one day in advance.
