What to do if your Clivia grows crooked? Here's how to adjust and correct it
Clivia is a plant that many friends like quite a lot, and it is grown fairly widely. Today I will share with you how to adjust a crooked Clivia.
How to adjust a crooked Clivia:
Clivia is phototropic, growing best in the direction with ample sunlight, and that is exactly why it grows crooked. Many people think this natural factor is hard to change, but we can solve this problem by learning some rotation methods.
Manual adjustment. When the plant keeps growing toward one side, this phenomenon tells us which side has the strong light. We then need to set a fixed schedule and rotate the plant 180 degrees at regular times, wait a certain period, wait for the leaves to grow back, and keep repeating the rotation until the plant stays upright.
Mechanical adjustment. Using clips to hold the plant upright is the simplest method.
Scientific adjustment. First we need to understand the plant's growth habits and the principle of bending toward light, then find the strong light point and use some opaque tin foil to block the sunlight. Once the plant grows back upright, the tin foil can be removed.
Do not relax just because you have adjusted the plant's phototropism. When growing Clivia, you also need to do a good job of changing the water regularly. Make sure the water is not in direct sunlight and avoid water contamination. At the same time, regularly spray with New High Lipid Film to retain moisture, prevent fungal diseases, and promote lush growth of the plant.
