What foliar fertilizers are there for orchids?

The foliar fertilizers commonly used for orchids include "Suzi liquid fertilizer", "Huabao", "Zhiquan comprehensive mineral biotin", "Gaole", "Huaduoduo", "Gaochanmai", "Aishi brand", "Aiduoshou", "Penshibao" and other fertilizers. When spraying foliar fertilizer, make sure both the front and back of the orchid leaves are sprayed, especially the back of the leaves, whose pores absorb the fertilizer solution more strongly than the front.

I.

1. Suzi liquid fertilizer: this fertilizer can regulate the pH of the growing medium, and after spraying it can also make the orchid pseudobulbs larger, the leaves thicker and the variegation more obvious; when using it, dilute it to a 1000-fold solution, then spray.

2. Huabao (No. 1-5): this fertilizer is produced in the United States; when using it, dilute it to a 1000-2000-fold solution, then spray.

3. Zhiquan comprehensive mineral biotin: this fertilizer is produced in Japan; when using it, dilute it to a 3000-5000-fold solution, then spray.

4. Gaole: this fertilizer is produced in the United States; when using it, dilute it to a 1000-1500-fold solution, then spray.

5. Huaduoduo: this fertilizer is produced in the United States; when using it, dilute it to a 1000-1500-fold solution, then spray.

6. Gaochanmai: this fertilizer is produced in Fujian, China; when using it, dilute it to a 400-500-fold solution, then spray.

7. Aishi brand: this fertilizer is a high-nitrogen, high-potassium foliar fertilizer; when using it, dilute it to a 500-1000-fold solution, then spray.

8. Aiduoshou: this fertilizer is produced in Japan; when using it, dilute it to a 6000-fold solution, then spray.

9. Penshibao: this fertilizer is produced in Guangxi, China; when using it, dilute it to a 10000-fold solution, then spray.

II. Advantages of foliar fertilizer

1. Foliar fertilizer is applied as a foliar feed, and compared with root fertilization it has the advantages of being faster, safer and less restricted.

2. After spraying foliar fertilizer, the fertilizer solution is quickly absorbed by the orchid plant; compared with root fertilization, it is absorbed faster.

3. In special environments, root fertilization of orchids may cause fertilizer burn, but spraying foliar fertilizer basically does not cause fertilizer burn, so foliar fertilizer is a relatively safe type of fertilizer.

III. Precautions for spraying foliar fertilizer on orchids

1. When spraying, do not spray on rainy days, and do not spray in severe cold or extreme heat; if you must spray in summer, choose a time after the sun has set.

2. When spraying, make sure both the front and back of the orchid leaves receive the fertilizer solution, especially the back of the leaves, whose pores absorb the fertilizer solution more strongly.

3. Foliar fertilizer should not be used frequently, otherwise the orchid plant will become dependent on it, and long-term use will affect the fertilizer-absorbing ability of the roots.
