Snake Plant Flower Cultivation Methods and Care Tips
For cultivating Phalaenopsis, plastic pots or ceramic pots can be used, and the growing medium can be a mix of crushed fern roots, sphagnum moss, perlite, vermiculite, peat soil, charcoal, crushed tile pieces, etc.; the usual ratio is 40% crushed fern roots, 20% peat soil, 20% charcoal crumbs, 10% perlite or vermiculite, and cultivation with this mix gives fairly good results. It needs diffused light year-round, and in winter a little supplemental artificial lighting can be given to help it bloom; it needs temperatures above 20-24°C year-round, and at the same time, when temperatures are high, more water should be sprayed each day, preferably watering in the morning so that the water can be fully absorbed and dried before night, with no water remaining overnight on the leaves or leaf stalks, otherwise it easily causes disease. In winter it is also easily injured by cold and frost, and may even drop its leaves, which is a key point in cultivation.
