Just how adaptable is the snake plant?

The snake plant (Sansevieria) is highly adaptable; it prefers warmth and humidity, tolerates drought, and enjoys light while also tolerating shade. It is not demanding about soil, and a sandy loam with good drainage is preferable. Its optimum growing temperature is 20-30°C, and its overwintering temperature is 10°C. The snake plant can be propagated by division and by cuttings.
