How to promote flowering in clivia? These methods are very practical

Clivia flowers are bright red and large, and a single flower scape can often bear more than a dozen red flowers, clustering into a big flower ball when in bloom, very eye-catching. If we want potted clivia at home to produce bigger and more beautiful red flowers during the peak blooming period at New Year, the care and management work after autumn begins is very important. So, how to promote flowering in clivia?
Autumn temperatures are fairly moderate, and the temperature difference between day and night is also relatively large, and clivia is best suited to resuming growth in this kind of temperature environment. So during this period, repotting clivia into a different pot could not be better. But when repotting clivia into a different pot, we can bury a white ball at the bottom of the clivia's pot.
And with this white ball, clivia can send up flower scapes on schedule, and during the flowering process the phenomenon of scape entrapment will not occur either, and the flowers will not only be large, but the color will also be more vivid. And this flowering effect of clivia depends to a large extent on this white ball we buried. And the name of this powerful white ball is water chestnut.
Because water chestnut contains abundant phosphorus, and it has the highest content among all stem vegetables, and phosphorus is an essential nutrient for plants to flower. Precisely because we buried some water chestnut when repotting and changing the soil for clivia, it can very well provide the plant with abundant phosphorus as this kind of nutrient, and therefore can very well promote flowering in clivia.
When repotting and changing the soil for clivia in autumn, first line the bottom of the pot with a layer of larger-particle ceramsite to improve drainage and aeration inside the pot; then spread a layer of nutrient soil, then crush the peeled and cleaned water chestnut fruit and bury it in the pot soil; next spread a layer of smaller-particle ceramsite. Finally, we just plant the clivia into it according to normal operating methods.
