How to care for the goldfish plant during its flowering period? Care this way for easier blooming and a fuller pot

After the goldfish plant goes through its summer dormancy and autumn recovery, it will begin to grow flower buds after the Start of Winter. So after winter arrives, the goldfish plant's flower buds will cover the entire plant. But its flower buds do not grow above the leaves at the terminal bud; instead, they grow in the leaf axils at the 1-2 nodes below the terminal bud. Next, we need to adjust our care and management methods in time, otherwise it will affect the coming bloom.
After the goldfish plant enters the flower bud growth stage, both the flowers and leaves will gradually consume more water, so watering needs to be increased in time. But at this point you must not water heavily or flood it, because when there is too much water it is also prone to causing bud drop, and in serious cases it may also cause leaf drop, root rot and many other adverse conditions.
During bud formation and bud growth, watering is usually a bit more than during the summer dormant season, but a bit less than during the peak growth seasons of spring and autumn. So increasing watering during the goldfish plant's bud formation and bud growth is also relative, and once it blooms you still need to control watering appropriately. For a goldfish plant in bloom, flexibly controlling watering well can not only prevent bud and leaf drop, but also help extend the flowering period.
But the goldfish plant is a plant that quite likes fertilizer, and its flowering period is also very long. If it happens to be in bloom, you also need to increase fertilization to promote flowering. But it does not open all its buds at once when it blooms; rather, they open gradually in batches. So during its flowering period it will continuously consume nutrients, and therefore nutrients need to be replenished in time, otherwise its flowering will be affected.
Generally we just evenly scatter more than 10 granules of compound fertilizer along the edge of the flower pot; when [temperature drops], the potted plant should be moved indoors in time to keep it warm, making sure the plant does not freeze. And because winter temperatures differ greatly between the northern and southern regions of our country, you need to take warm-keeping and cold-protection measures according to the actual situation.
But after deciding on a good placement spot, you must not frequently move it around. Because during the flowering period, while the plant must not be allowed to freeze, it is also not suitable to frequently move the placement spot, otherwise it may cause the goldfish plant to drop flower buds, thereby affecting its blooming.
It can be seen that the care and management work for the goldfish plant during its flowering period is very important, mainly increasing light, ensuring temperature, watering reasonably and fertilizing scientifically, so as to avoid causing bud drop and flower drop. Generally, if we focus on doing these points well, a potted goldfish plant will not only be more likely to bloom and fill out the pot, but also have its flowering period extended.
