When does the Christmas kalanchoe bloom? Introduction to its flowering period

The Christmas kalanchoe (Kalanchoe manginii) can bloom all year round, as long as you manage factors like fertilizing, environment and temperature well. Applying some nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium fertilizer solution or monopotassium phosphate solution appropriately to the Christmas kalanchoe can help it bloom; combining a warm-winter, cool-summer environment with a winter temperature that does not drop below 10°C at minimum makes year-round blooming possible.
When will the Christmas kalanchoe bloom
1. Extending the flowering period with fertilizer
The flowering period of the Christmas kalanchoe is longer than that of other flowers; with good care, it can bloom all year round. Apply a relatively dilute nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium fertilizer solution or monopotassium phosphate solution once a month to the Christmas kalanchoe, and the flowers it produces later on will not become smaller and paler due to the excessively long flowering period and insufficient fertility.
2. Pay attention to the environment
The environment the Christmas kalanchoe needs for blooming must be artificially regulated, achieving warmth in winter and coolness in summer. At noon in midsummer, it must be kept away from the intense direct sun at noon and placed in a cool, semi-shaded spot with plenty of scattered light; special attention should be paid to ventilation and cooling, and some water can be sprinkled on the surrounding ground to lower the temperature.
3. Control the temperature
After October, the Christmas kalanchoe should be given more sun; at this time the temperature should be kept at a nighttime minimum no lower than 10°C, and a daytime minimum no lower than 15°C-18°C, with plenty of sunlight, so that the Christmas kalanchoe can bloom normally even in December, achieving year-round blooming.
