What to Do When Spring Grass Stops Curling, and Can You Cut the Leaves

I. What to Do When It Stops Curling

1. Replace the soil: If the soil used for growing it has very poor aeration and is too sticky and compacted, it does not meet the plant's growing needs, which naturally affects leaf growth, causes problems with the rhizome and leaves, and makes the leaves gradually grow leggy and straight. You need to replace it with loose, well-draining, slightly acidic soil; do not use a single type of soil.

2. Fertilize reasonably: Spring grass needs enough nutrients to sustain its growth. If fertilization is insufficient, spring grass itself will be short of nutrients, which causes its elasticity to worsen and its leaves to stop curling. Base fertilizer should be mixed in when planting, and timely topdressing should be done during later growth.

3. Provide the right light: Spring grass cannot grow in places without light. If it is too shady, the leaves will stop curling and will also become very thin. It should be exposed to more sunlight; this plant itself loves sunlight, so 6-8 hours of light can be maintained each day.

4. Control watering: Spring grass likes moisture, but if it is watered too much, waterlogging and root rot will occur, causing spring grass leaves to stop curling. Watering needs to be based on the climate conditions of the four seasons. Never give too much water. Once waterlogging occurs, it must be controlled and the excess water should be drained away as soon as possible.

5. Maintain temperature: If the temperature difference is too large, plant growth will also slow down, and the leaves will lose their elasticity and stop curling. The growing temperature is best kept between 15°C and 25°C, with the day-night temperature difference kept within 10°C.

II. Can You Cut the Leaves

When the leaves of spring grass stop curling and gradually wither, the leaves can be cut off.
