Cultivating orchids is actually very simple, but many people still do not know how to grow them and have experience of killing them. Below are the orchid-growing techniques compiled by the editor:

1. There must be a certain amount of light. In winter and spring, the light is scarce and weak, so only half shading is needed; in summer and autumn, the sun is scorching, and the shading density should be 85-90, with only a little scattered light needed to prevent the variegated parts from being scorched by the sun.

2. When fertilizing, use less nitrogen fertilizer and more phosphorus and potassium fertilizer. Avoid excessive nitrogen fertilizer and do not apply magnesium fertilizer. Spray less foliar fertilizer with high nitrogen content or containing magnesium. Applying too much will cause chlorophyll to increase sharply and cover the variegated parts, making the leaf variegation weaken and degenerate.

3. The spatial humidity should be somewhat higher than that for non-striped orchids, to prevent the variegated parts from drying and scorching.

4. As far as possible, plant them connected together, and it is not advisable to separate them into individual plants, to prevent weak growth and a tendency to degenerate.

5. This type of variegated orchid is not as rich in soil nature as non-striped orchids, and its growth and development are comparatively weaker, with roots that are not very strong. Therefore, strengthen root cultivation to make the plant strong; when the plant is strong, the variegation will be bright.

6. It is not advisable to apply high-concentration pesticides and chemical fertilizers, to prevent the occurrence of pesticide and fertilizer damage.

7. It is best not to touch the leaves of highly variegated orchid plants with your hands, to prevent contaminating the variegated parts.

Orchids are one of China's famous flowers and have very high ornamental value.
