A Detailed Guide to Hydroponic Clivia Cultivation Methods and Precautions

I. Cultivation Methods
1. Light: Hydroponically grown Clivia has roughly the same light requirements as soil-grown plants; they both like ample but gentle light. So place it in a spot with diffused light and make sure it gets at least 4 hours of light exposure every day.
2. Temperature: It grows better under moderate temperatures, that is, 15-20°C. So it is best to place it in a warm spot at home.
3. Water: It is not very picky about water quality; any generally clean water can be used. Tap water works too, but let it sit for a while before use.
4. Fertilizing: Nutrient solution is an important source of nutrients for it. Because water contains very few nutrients, it is best to apply some nutrient solution about every 15 days to provide it with more nutrients.
II. Precautions
Normally, while it is still a young plant, the water needs to be changed every day. After the plant matures, the water also needs to be changed about every 3 days. This is very beneficial to its growth.
