How long does rice water need to ferment before watering flowers, and how to ferment it so it doesn't stink

I. How long to ferment
Fermenting rice water does not take very long; at the short end it takes about a week, and at the long end it needs about 20-30 days of fermentation. During fermentation, put it in the sunlight; the better the sunlight, the faster it ferments. If you ferment it in winter when the light is weak, you will have to wait longer. When you find that the rice water has changed from cloudy to clear and the smell has also become fainter, that means it has fermented well.
Note that you must wait until it has fermented before using it, otherwise it will harm the plant's root growth and cause the flowers to drop; in serious cases the whole plant will wither and die. Although fermented rice water is beneficial to flower growth when used to water flowers, you should not use it too frequently; generally once every 15-20 days is fine.
II. How to ferment it so it doesn't stink
1. Add orange peel: When fermenting, you can chop up orange peel and put it in together, or use pomelo peel as well. Because they give off a fresh fragrance, this can greatly reduce the odor produced by fermentation.
2. Ventilate appropriately: This method means loosening the lid a little, not sealing it too tightly, so that the odor during fermentation is gradually released, and after fermentation is complete it will no longer stink. Or, after fermentation is complete, unscrew the lid and let the bad smell dissipate.
