When is the best time to repot a clivia? A full analysis of the best time
I. When is a good time to repot a clivia
Clivias are usually best repotted in spring and autumn each year, and the potting soil needs to be changed 1-2 times a year. Otherwise, because the fleshy roots of the clivia grow quickly, the nutrients in the soil can be used up in just half a year. If the pot and soil are not changed regularly, it will affect the clivia's growth in the coming year.

II. How to repot a clivia properly
1. Before repotting a clivia, control watering appropriately. When the soil is slightly dry, remove the clivia from the original pot, remove the soil attached to the roots, cut off rotten and shriveled roots, apply carbendazim powder to the cuts, and place the clivia in a cool, ventilated place to dry the roots.
2. Prepare loose, breathable soil, which can be made from leaf mold, pine needle soil, coarse sand and charcoal. Choose a breathable flower pot of suitable size, sized so that the clivia's roots fit inside with about 3 cm between the roots and the pot wall on all sides, and place tiles or ceramsite at the bottom of the pot.
3. Put 5-7 cm of soil above the ceramsite. The soil moisture should ideally be such that it "forms a ball when squeezed in the hand and breaks apart when touched." Then hold the clivia's roots with your hand, turn it upside down, fill soil among the clivia's roots, hold the plant's roots, and slowly place it in the center of the flower pot.
4. Finally, fill the gaps between the roots and the flower pot with soil, press the soil gently to firm it, then add more soil over the roots, covering the roots by 5-7 cm, and gently firm the soil. Move the potted plant to a cool, ventilated place, and water thoroughly when the soil is nearly dry. After one week, it can be cared for normally.
