What fertilizer should orchids be given in spring so they grow well?

I. Base fertilizer
Spring is the main growing period for orchids. When caring for them, you need to make sure their growing medium contains enough nutrients to support their growth. So at this time, you should apply some base fertilizer to increase the fertility of the medium. Specifically, you can prepare some slow-release fertilizer, or decomposed soybean cake fertilizer, and mix them into the growing medium.
II. Top dressing
In spring, it is also very necessary to apply some flower fertilizer to the orchid plants as top dressing. This allows them to absorb nutrients from sources other than the growing medium, so they grow faster. Liquid fertilizer is more recommended, because it is in liquid form and orchid plants can absorb nutrients from it relatively easily. Foliar fertilizer is also recommended, because it can directly provide nutrients to the leaves and help them grow better.
III. Points to note
1. Different varieties of orchid plants have different flowering periods. If the orchid plants you are growing are close to their flowering period, give them more fertilizer containing relatively more phosphorus to help them bloom. If the orchid plants you are growing are still far from their flowering period, then you can apply some fertilizer containing more nitrogen to help them grow leaves.
2. Before applying flower fertilizer, dilute the chosen flower fertilizer with clean water. Because orchid plants are relatively sensitive to concentrated fertilizer, doing this can prevent them from being affected by concentrated fertilizer.
