How to care for Clivia in spring

1. Maintain ventilation

When caring for Clivia in spring, it should be placed in a spot with fairly good air circulation. It does not like an overly closed growing environment, and being unable to come into contact with fresh air for a long time may lead to poor growth. But note that it does not like strong wind, so if you place it by a window, be sure to close the window when strong winds blow.

2. Apply supplementary flowering fertilizer

This period is also the time when it blooms, or is about to bloom, so attention should be paid to supplementing flowering fertilizer. Fertilizers should preferably be chosen with a higher phosphorus content; just dilute them with water and apply them to the plant. Some nitrogen fertilizer should also be applied, but not excessively, otherwise it easily causes leggy growth and affects flowering.

3. Ensure sunlight

Both its growth and its flowering need the support of sunlight, so during care it should be placed in a bright location so it can receive soft sunlight. But note that if improper care earlier caused the "stuck arrow" problem, then it does not need to be given light, because prolonged sunlight exposure may affect the emergence of the flower stalk.
