Planting and Care of Mango Trees

Mango trees can be planted in spring and autumn. Prepare loose, breathable, well-draining sandy soil and a breathable ceramic pot of suitable size. Plant healthy, disease-free mango seeds in the soil, and after some time, seedlings will grow. Carry out proper care and management of light, fertilizer and water, and temperature.

Mango Tree Planting and Care Methods

I. Planting Time

The best time to plant mango trees is in spring and autumn each year. Specifically, planting in spring from March to May and in autumn from September to November is best, because the temperature is relatively warm at these times, which is very suitable for plant growth. After being planted in the soil, they can grow quickly, and the survival rate is relatively high.

II. Preparing the Pot and Soil

Prepare a flower pot and potting soil. When choosing a flower pot, it is best to prioritize good breathability, as this helps small buds grow. When choosing potting soil, you can judge based on its growth habits. It is best to use loose, breathable, well-draining sandy soil rich in humus.

III. Planting in Soil

Plant healthy, disease-free mango seeds in the soil. Note that before sowing, soak them in warm water for germination treatment. Gently cover with a layer of fine soil, then water appropriately to keep the potting soil slightly moist. After about some time, seedlings will grow. When the seedlings have grown a few leaves, they can be transplanted into pots.

IV. Care and Management

After the mango tree seedlings are potted, care and management must be done well. Place them in an environment with sufficient sunlight to promote photosynthesis and lush growth of young leaves. Keep a warm environment; they must not be placed in environments with high or low temperatures. Water and fertilize regularly, and there must be no waterlogging or fertilizer damage.
