How to care for Chinese lantern seedlings

Growing Chinese lantern seedlings requires giving them plenty of light, which helps them carry out photosynthesis. The temperature also needs to be kept at around 20°C. They like moisture, so you should water them frequently in daily care, but you must not let water accumulate in the soil. At this stage, you should also apply light fertilizer frequently so they have enough nutrients to grow.

How to care for Chinese lantern seedlings

1. Light and temperature

To grow Chinese lantern seedlings, place them in a spot with plenty of sunlight, which helps them carry out photosynthesis and promotes their growth, but do not let them be exposed to harsh direct sun. They like warmth, so you also need to manage the temperature well, ideally keeping it at around 20°C, as this is most favorable for vigorous growth.

2. Proper watering

Chinese lantern seedlings like to grow in a moist environment, so you should water them frequently in daily care, ideally keeping the potting soil slightly moist. When the weather is dry, you also need to sprinkle water around the plant to increase air humidity. However, they are not tolerant of waterlogging, so avoid water accumulating in the soil, otherwise it will cause root rot.

3. Fertilization method

Chinese lantern seedlings have relatively vigorous growth ability, and at this stage they need sufficient nutrients, so you also need to apply light fertilizer frequently, ideally once every half month with nitrogen fertilizer water, which helps them grow. You can use compound fertilizer or organic fertilizer. Note that when fertilizing, do not use raw fertilizer or concentrated fertilizer, to avoid burning the seedlings.
