What are the main reasons a peace lily's white spathe turns green?

1. Natural causes
Reason: A peace lily's spathe turning green may simply be a natural phenomenon. The flowers are white when they first open, but as they approach the end of their bloom, the chlorophyll naturally present in the petals remains in the flower; once these elements break down, the spathe naturally shows signs of turning green.
Solution: This phenomenon is normal. At this stage the color is bright green and still has ornamental value, so you can keep it for viewing. If you do not like this color, you can cut off the inflorescence from its base to reduce nutrient consumption and encourage the next bloom.
2. Improper light
Reason: If a peace lily turns green just a few days after blooming, this is not a natural cause; it may be a light problem. The flower itself is already somewhat greenish, and when light is too weak and it cannot absorb sunlight for a long time, the flower will naturally turn green.
Solution: If this is the cause, adjust the care conditions promptly, otherwise a long period without light will cause problems with its growth. Provide light promptly after blooming; once the flower absorbs sunlight it will gradually turn white. You can also appropriately add some specialized fertilizer.
