How to make pothos leaves turn glossy green

1. Suitable lighting

Pothos can grow normally even in an environment without light, but if you want its leaves to be more glossy green, it needs the nourishment of light. Apart from summer, you can let it receive indirect light in spring, autumn and winter, so it can carry out photosynthesis better, and the leaves will naturally become more glossy green and grow more vigorously.

2. Wipe with beer

During care, wipe its leaves with beer regularly. The specific method is to first dilute it with clean water, then dip a cloth in it and wipe the leaves. This not only removes dust from the leaf surface, but also helps make the leaves more glossy green. In addition, wiping with clean water also works very well.

3. Supplement fertilizer regularly

Although pothos has a certain tolerance for poor soil, if you want it to grow better and have more glossy green leaves, it cannot do without nutrients. You should fertilize frequently during the peak growing season. Monopotassium phosphate and urea fertilizer are fine; they can be diluted and poured at the roots, or sprayed on the leaves, and both methods work quite well. If you apply granular fertilizer, water moderately after application to dilute it, so the plant absorbs it faster and fertilizer burn is avoided.

4. Suitable environment

If you want its leaves to be more glossy and emerald green, you must provide a suitable environment. Note that during the high-temperature period in summer, you should increase ventilation and spray water frequently to cool it down. In winter, move it indoors and control the temperature, otherwise the leaves are prone to yellowing under both high and low temperatures.
