How to divide and repot orchids, and how to care for them after repotting

I. How to Divide the Plant

1. Timing: Choose autumn, from September to November, for the operation. The climate is relatively mild at this time, causing less damage to the plant, and it recovers easily.

2. Pot: The pot chosen must be breathable, which effectively avoids waterlogging. Place larger granules at the bottom, and use humus soil as the loam.

3. Dividing and repotting: Take the plant out of its original pot gently, without damaging the roots. Slowly untangle the roots so there are no clumps, rinse them clean with water, and once the roots soften, you can cut them apart. When potting each division separately, place the plant in the center of the pot, fill in the loam, and shake the pot while filling so the roots make full contact with the loam inside.

II. How to Care for Them After Repotting

After repotting, water thoroughly to help settle the roots. After this watering, do not water again. Place it in a wind-sheltered spot and keep it away from strong sunlight at first, maintaining this until new shoots sprout.
