Wood ash has so many benefits for growing flowers, with unexpected results

1. Promote germination

2. Fertilizing with the leachate

Precautions for using wood ash: Wood ash is an alkaline fertilizer. It cannot be stored or used together with ammonium nitrogen fertilizers such as ammonium sulfate and ammonium nitrate, nor can it be stored together with human excrement or livestock manure, otherwise it will cause nitrogen to volatilize rapidly and become ineffective. Because wood ash is alkaline, it is best applied to clayey, acidic or neutral soil.

Wood ash is a phosphorus and potassium fertilizer. When growing orchids, I apply a little to the fleshy roots to prevent root rot, and it can also be used as a base fertilizer. There is no need to use too much, just three to five grams is enough. If too much wood ash is used, the soil will not dry out easily after watering thoroughly, and the flowers can easily suffocate.
